Daddy wanted me to take some fall pictures at his house.  We went over on Thursday afternoon and took a few.  We had a fun time running around.712088533210_0_alb1

The Little Wizard Girl

This is Peanut’s costume.  She picked it out on Old Navy.com and I tried to talk her out of it and told her it was for a boy.  She quickly told me, “No, it’s for a Peanut”.  So I bought it and she is the cutest little wizard I have ever saw.

We went trick or treating around the square today with the library story time children and Peanut had a blast.  We took Grandma with us and she had a blast too.  We started at the Methodist church and went down to the courthouse and then back up to all the businesses and back to the church.  We probably walked a mile or more and Peanut was a trooper.  I didn’t have to tote her much of the way.  We ate at the City Cafe after and then went and took a nap.  I really love Thursdays.

This afternoon when Shane went off to work, we loaded up and went to Pa’s creek to take some pictures.  I had visions of all the leaves and some cute pictures.  It didn’t work out, but I did get a few good ones with her in her costume and I won’t be able to get any tomorrow night so I was thankful.  She is soaking in the tub right now and Lowegan is supervising her while reading The Rats of Nimn.  I got him a sack full of books at the Help Center for 10 cents each.  He was in hog heaven.

I have posted about 5 times today, and had not posted in a month or more.  Hopefully, I’ll get back in the swing of things.

Have a Happy Halloween!

the yogurt disaster

Peanut loves yogurt.  She loves those little snack sized Dora the Explorer yogurts so good.  On this particular night, she did not tell me that she wanted to eat some yogurt, she just went to the refrigerator and got some.  It must have smelled like lotion because she took off her shirt and rubbed it all over her stomache and her cheeks.  She was a mess, but at least she smelled good.

Happy Halloween!

This picture was taken at my neighbor’s house.  Peanut loves Deb and Marty like they are her own grandparents.  Everyday that we get to go out and play, she ends up at Deb’s house.  Deb always gives her candy cigarettes and coke.  Thanks alot, Deb.

A sick Peanut

Peanut has been sick since Friday night when I found blisters on her tongue.  I called the dr. on Saturday and they said to do nothing.  Surprise.  So on Monday morning when she was still sick I took her to the dr. and she has stomatitis.  It is a viral infection that causes blisters in your mouth.  The dr. counted up to 5.  They gave me some Magic Mouthwash and told her it would just go away and to treat the pain.  Peanut is not one to take medicine good, so in the dr.’s office we had to hold her down to get her to take some tylenol.  She spit more than half of that out.   We have to trick her to get the Magic Mouthwash in her mouth.  She asks for her fu-fu.  (Yes, I know she needs to get rid of the thing and I am trying to do that, but the sign is not right till the 17th of this month, so we will do it then) Anyway, we paint her fufu with the magic mouthwash and put it in her mouth and then she spits it out.  So we get some in her mouth and she is beginning to think that her fufu is yucky tasting. Maybe this will work to my advantage when “loosing” the fufu.

I think the Boy Scouts are trying to kill me.

Saturday was a big day.  It was the day that was planned to be a 10 mile hike for Troop 367.  To earn their hiking merit badge, the boys must do 5 10-mile hikes and 1 20-mile hike.  Our hike was to be a Cedar Forest in Lebanon.  We were supposed to start at 3:00.  Two of the boys were late and we did not get started till 3:30.  Our first trail was 5 miles exactly then we were going to do 2 other trail that would equal the 10 miles.  Amazingly I made it just fine, although the leader of the 17 of us is a fast walker and I almost had to jog part of the way.  At the end, it was nearing on 5:30 and I had a sick Peanut at home with Grandma so we, along with several others, bowed out of the next 5 miles.  I really hated to do that because now the 5 miles we did that day was for nothing.  It does not count toward anything.  I hiked 5 miles just for fun.  I don’t think so.  All in all, I held up pretty good.  All except for getting out of the car after driving back to Grandma’s, then I thought I was gonna break.  My hip was hurting so bad and it has continued to be sore for a few days.  But I made it and for that, I am thankful and surprised.

Happy 90th Birthday, Mama Greg

Today is Shane’s Granny’s 90th Birthday.  When I told Peanut we were going to visit and take her a present she said “it’s a party”. Peanut thinks that every party has to have a cake and candles.  So I rounded up a Fudge Round and a candle and we went to visit.  I told Peanut repeatedly that it was Mama Greg’s birthday and she said “it’s my birthday”.  I finally quit arguing with her.  It’s her birthday.  We lit that candle and all sung to Mama Greg and she loved it.  Here is a picture of her on her special day.

Day Out With Thomas

Lowegan, Lauren, Jessie and I went today and rode Thomas.  There was lots of other fun things to do there and Peanut had a blast.  Jessie made her mad when she could not walk by herself.  She thinks she is a big girl.  Then we ate at Demos’ (Lowegan got to choose).  We had lots of fun.
